* glom --> ports/databases/glomahze2005-11-061-0/+1
|
* - Add glomahze2005-11-065-0/+103
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With Glom you can design table definitions and the relationships between them, plus arrange the fields on the screen. You can edit and search the data in those tables, and specify field values in terms of other fields. It's as easy as it should be. The design is loosely based on FileMaker Pro, with the added advantage of separation between interface and data. Its simple framework should be enough to implement most database applications. Without Glom these systems normally consist of lots of repetitive, unmaintainable code. Glom-specific data such as the relationship definitions is saved in the Glom document. Glom re-connects to the database server when it loads a previous Glom document. The document is in XML format. Glom uses the PostgreSQL database backend but it can not edit databases that it did not create, because it uses only a simple subset of Postgres functionality. Submitted by: adamw
* Add new variables for the better Zope support:perky2005-11-061-4/+80
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - USE_ZOPE now gets USE_PYTHON-like version syntax to use in Zope product ports Makefiles to limit range of supported Zope versions. - "yes" for choosing default (2.7). - 2.8+ for 2.8 and any of higher versions. - -2.8 in case of the Zope product isn't ready for Zope 3. - 2.8-3.1 if the product isn't compatible with Python 2.3. - ZOPE_VERSION is to use in command line argument or /etc/make.conf. This accepts one of 2.7 2.8 and 3.1 currently. PR: 87476 Requested by: Filippo Natali <filippo.natali@gmail.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | description of what the knob is and does. The intent is to help porters keep like-name knobs through out the ports tree and end-users have a single file they can look up knobs in. Limitations to KNOBS: In the future we plan to add support for OPTIONS to support the KNOBS file, and so dialog(1) will be able to handle the size of each knob knob-name's are limited to 12 characters and knob-descriptions are limited to 45 characters, not including the white space between the knob-name and knob-description. Naming knobs: When a port has a lib-prefix (ie: libquicktime, libxine) the lib-prefix should be stripped from the knob name. * Presenting GNOME 2.12 for FreeBSD. The release is chock full of bug fixesmarcus2005-11-05510-8075/+7713
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | and new features. Don't believe me? Then see for yourself at http://www.gnome.org/start/2.12/notes/en/. DO NOT USE portupgrade by itself to upgrade to GNOME 2.12. Instead, use the gnome_upgrade.sh script from http://www.marcuscom.com/downloads/gnome_upgrade212.sh. This script will circumvent some potential pitfalls users can see if they use portupgrade by itself. In keeping with tradition, GNOME 2.12 for FreeBSD comes with a special splash screen. The winner of this release's contest is Dominique Goncalves <dominique.goncalves@gmail.com>. His splash screen was inspired by http://art.gnome.org/contests/2.12-splash/83. The FreeBSD GNOME Team would lank to thank the following users for their contributions to this release: Matthew Luckie <mjl@luckie.org.nz> ade sajd on #freebsd-gnome Caelian on #freebsd-gnome mnag Yasuda Keisuke <kysd@po.harenet.ne.jp> Mark Hobden <markhobden@gmail.com> Sergey Akifyev <asa@agava.com> Andreas Kohn For more information on GNOME on FreeBSD, checkout http://www.FreeBSD.org/gnome/.
