the same neutral keyboard repository as textproc/ibus-kmfl does,
${LOCALBASE}/share/kmfl/. This approach is similar to m17n (its
keyboard databases, devel/m17n-db and textproc/m17n-contrib, are
shared between textproc/scim-m17n and textproc/ibus-m17n). This
patch also makes both these KMFL engine ports to read ~/.kmfl/
instead of SCIM-oriented ~/.scim/kmfl/.
There is UPDATING text that informs KMFL users about this.
- Patch keyboard ports (7 of them) to install data to the new
repository, ${LOCALBASE}/share/kmfl/; the keyboard ports were
SCIM-only and used to install to ${LOCALBASE}/share/scim/kmfl/.
- Adapt descriptions in other KMFL ports (textproc/kmflcomp,
textproc/libkmfl);
- While we are here, do some additional maintenance.
- Remove the 7 old ports.
- Please see the PR for full details.

GHC in the ports tree has been updated to 7.0.3 and all other Haskell ports
are also updated to their corresponding Haskell Platform versions, or latest
versions.
We would like to acknowledge the support of the FreeBSD Donations Team and
Eotvos Lorand University, Faculty of Informatics who contributed to the server
that we used for testing.
We would also like to thank all the testers who tested FreeBSD Haskell ports

Since this is the first time this is being done I'd like to state that this
is so people who install packages from a release CD can have a (rough)
reference point on when the release was cut so they know how far back to
read in UPDATING.

the 2.32 protocol for compatibility with hosts not using FreeBSD ports. [1]
Note that other than discussed in the PR, this port installs
unison232[-text] commands and documentation into .../unison232
directories so as to avoid conflicts with net/unison and allow
parallel installation of both ports.
Other changes since repocopy than renaming:
- Take maintainership for this new port for now and grant Guido Falsi
implicit approval for port changes.
- Downgrade to 2.32.52 (the repocopy copied HEAD rather than the
specified date) - note I'm not bumping PORTEPOCH since unison232
wasn't hooked to the build before this commit, and we've renamed to
installed port/package from unison to unison232, so it's technically a
new port.
- Query GTK2 support through OPTIONS framework, unless WITHOUT_X11 is
defined. Check WITHOUT_GTK2 variable, don't care about WITH_GTK2.
- Create ${DESKTOPDIR} before trying to install files into it, for the
benefit of systems that install into a fresh PREFIX.
- Remove CONFLICTS, add PKGNAMESUFFIX=232.
- Clean up the Makefile a bit, and don't hide non-echo/cat commands
- Remove pkg-message variants
- Hook net/unison232 to the tree in net/Makefile
- Add UPDATING entry
- Add German translation for the .desktop file.

Major changes:
- new installation layout, resembling RPM packages:
- client = Client Utilities + Development Libraries + Shared components
- server = MySQL Server + Embedded
- new build system: cmake instead of autotools
- fewer port knobs
Expect various breakages, but if we are lucky this could become the new default
mysql port.

Note that this breaks and obsoletes sysutils/cdrtools-cjk as mkisofs now
employs iconv for character conversion. Consequently USE_CDRTOOLS=cjk and
USE_CDRTOOLS together with WITH_CJK are now defunct and bsd.port.mk is
expected to be updated by portmgr@ accordingly (PR 150362).

ABI backwards compatible. It is unnecessary to have more than one same
libraries (ie: neon28 and neon29) as it creates issue in our ports tree such
as CONFLICTS and made our Makefile complicate.
- Remove www/neonpp and www/neon28.
- Add USE_GNOME=ltverhack; it corrects the shared library version by change
from libneon.so.29 to libneon.so.27. It won't get bump again with no reason
unless ABI changes.
- Bump the PORTREVISION on all ports and chase the shared library change.
- Add info in the UPDATING for how to rebuild on all ports that depend on
neon.

Unfortunately version 2.0.0 is largely incompatible with version 1.x, so it
is necessary to have a stopgap measure while ports that depend on libassuan
can be updated. In conversation with the maintainers of the dependent ports
it was originally considered ideal to prepare updates for the ports first,
then upgrade everything to libassuan 2.x en masse. Since no action has
arisen on that front, go with plan B:
Copy security/libassuan to security/libassuan-1, and update the dependent
ports accordingly. Because this is (intended to be) a _temporary_ measure,
and because no updates for libassuan 1.x are anticipated, and because the
hope is that it can be removed sooner rather than later, it's a copy instead
of a repocopy.

- Clean up "its" vs. "it's" using throughout the file; expand some
contractions where looked appropriate
- More readability and formatting fixes of usual nature. This should
hopefully cover year 2004 entries

- Kill EOL whitespace (they just keep creeping in)
- Retouch entries that caught my eye for readability and cleanness

release can be found at http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.30/ .
This release brings initial PackageKit support, Upower (replaces power
management part of hal), cuse4bsd integration with HAL and cheese, and a
faster Evolution.
Sadly GNOME 2.30.x will be the last release with FreeBSD 6.X support. This
will also be the last of the 2.x releases. The next release will be the
highly-anticipated GNOME 3.0 which will bring with it a new UI experience.
Currently, there are a few bugs with GNOME 2.30 that may be of note for our
users. Be sure to consult the UPGRADING note or the 2.30 upgrade FAQ at
http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/docs/faq230.html for specific upgrading
instructions, and the up-to-date list of known issues.
This release features commits by avl, ahze, bland, marcus, mezz, and myself.
The FreeBSD GNOME Team would like to thank Anders F Bjorklund for doing the
initual packagekit porting.

- Remove emulators/virtualbox port. Renamed to emulators/virtualbox-ose
and seperate port for the kernel modules created:
emulators/virtualbox-ose-kmod.
emulators/virtualbox-ose:
- Update to 3.1.2
- Update guest additions to 3.1.2
- Port has been renamed to virtualbox-ose to reflect that we are using
the OSE version. [1]
- Added proper PulseAudio support for FreeBSD [2]
- procfs is not required anymore because vbox uses sysctl(3) now [3]
- Update pkg-message to reflect recent changes
- Add nox's FreeBSD host networking patches that are now also in the
upstream vbox svn (modulo vbox variable naming style adjustments:)
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-emulation/2010-January/007260.html
http://www.virtualbox.org/changeset/25698
1. Allow direct tap networking again (for users that need the best
network performance and/or need more complex network setups, like when
they want to use routing instead of bridging to e.g. protect from guests
messing with the lan's arp tables; a tap + routing + proxy arp example
is in the above freebsd-emulation posting.)
2. Enable vbox' shared mac feature when using bridged mode on a wifi
interface, together with the virtualbox-ose-kmod change this
should fix bridged mode for wifi users. [4]
emulators/virtualbox-ose-kmod:
- Update to 3.1.2
- Add rc.d script to load kernel modules
- Fix build with a non-standard location for the system source [5]
- Merge aeichner's vboxnetflt fix committed to upstream vbox svn
(thanks!) that makes the shared mac feature enabled above actually work
on FreeBSD hosts. [6]
Please see http://wiki.freebsd.org/VirtualBox for update instructions.
Many thanks to the VirtualBox developers, all tester, patch submitter and
the whole vbox@ team.

Update security/openvpn20 to 2.0.9, revising pkg-message.
Move security/openvpn-devel to security/openvpn and
update security/openvpn to 2.1.1.
Remove security/openvpn-devel, adding a MOVED entry.
Update security/Makefile to remove openvpn-devel and add openvpn20 to

Add a UPDATING entry for this shuffle. Currently without upgrade
