* archivers/rubygem-ruby-xz: create portswills2016-04-231-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | These are simple Ruby bindings for the liblzma library (http://tukaani.org/xz/), which is best known for the extreme compression ratio. Since FFI is used to implement the bindings, no compilation is needed and they should work with JRuby as well. WWW: http://quintus.github.io/ruby-xz
* New port: archivers/py-borgbackup.rakuco2016-04-171-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | BorgBackup (short: Borg) is a deduplicating backup program. Optionally, it supports compression and authenticated encryption. The main goal of Borg is to provide an efficient and secure way to backup data. The data deduplication technique used makes Borg suitable for daily backups since only changes are stored. The authenticated encryption technique makes it suitable for backups to not fully trusted targets. WWW: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/borgbackup Note: NO_PACKAGE=yes had to be set because this port only works with Python 3 and depends on other Python ports which are currently only built with Python 2.7 by default. Discussed in the freebsd-python mailing list: https://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-python/2016-April/010144.html PR: 207715 Submitted by: José García Juanino <jjuanino@gmail.com>
* New port: archivers/py-rjsminpi2016-04-171-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | rJSmin is a javascript minifier written in python. The minifier is based on the semantics of jsmin.c by Douglas Crockford. The module is a re-implementation aiming for speed, so it can be used at runtime (rather than during a preprocessing step). Usually it produces the same results as the original jsmin.c. WWW: https://github.com/ndparker/rjsmin PR: 208834 Submitted by: Ultima1252@gmail.com
* New port: archivers/py-rcssminpi2016-04-171-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This module is a re-implementation aiming for speed instead of maximum compression, so it can be used at runtime (rather than during a preprocessing step). RCSSmin does syntactical compression only (removing spaces, comments and possibly semicolons). It does not provide semantic compression (like removing empty blocks, collapsing redundant properties etc). It does, however, support various CSS hacks (by keeping them working as intended). * - Add brotli 0.2.0sunpoet2015-10-011-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Brotli is a generic-purpose lossless compression algorithm that compresses data using a combination of a modern variant of the LZ77 algorithm, Huffman coding and 2nd order context modeling, with a compression ratio comparable to the best currently available general-purpose compression methods. It is similar in speed with deflate but offers more dense compression. The specification of the Brotli Compressed Data Format is defined in the following internet draft: http://www.ietf.org/id/draft-alakuijala-brotli WWW: https://github.com/google/brotli

It provides the following commands: * aunpack: extract an archive, avoiding tar bombs * als: list the contents of an archive * acat: extract files to the standard output * apack: create an archive Optional dependencies: lbzip2 or pbzip2, lzip, plzip, lzop, lzma, zip, unzip, unrar, lha, unace, arj, arc, nomarch, p7zip, unalz.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | like might be an old version of this, but it only installs a binary. This installs binaries and libraries/headers. LZ4 is a very fast lossless compression algorithm, providing compression speed at 400 MB/s per core, scalable with multi-cores CPU. It also features an extremely fast decoder, with speed in multiple GB/s per core, typically reaching RAM speed limits on multi-core systems. A high compression derivative, called LZ4_HC, is also provided. It trades CPU time for compression ratio. The libraries are BSD licensed, and the binaries are GPLv2. We now always build as if MINIMAL was unset. - Stop installing the p7zip and Client7z wrappers. - Move the installation of the RAR decompression codec to archivers/p7zip-codec-rar, as its source code uses a more restrictive license than the LGPL21 used for the rest of the code base. * Say hello to Mate 1.6.kwm2013-11-231-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Mate is a lite desktop forked from gnome2. Most of the work is done by Jeremy Messenger (mezz@). The only thing I did was update a few ports to later 1.6 release and attempting to keep up with ports infra changes. Resulting bugs are all mine. Mate is a sort of replacement for Gnome 2. So people wanting to keep a Gnome 2 like desktop should switch. Gnome 2 will be replaced by Gnome 3 in the near future. This switch will be announce with a transition time so people have more time to switch if they haven't already. This release was made possible by everyone that send friendly pokes to keep mate on my mind. Approved by: portmgr (bapt)

* - Add p5-Archive-Any-Lite 0.07sunpoet2013-08-251-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Archive::Any::Lite is a fork of Archive::Any. The main difference is this works properly even when you fork(), and may require less memory to extract a tarball. On the other hand, this isn't pluggable (this only supports file formats used in the CPAN toolchains), and this doesn't check mime types (at least as of this writing). The zlib data format is itself portable across platforms. Unlike the LZW compression method used in Unix compress(1) and in the GIF image format, the compression method currently used in zlib essentially never expands the data. (LZW can double or triple the file size in extreme cases.) zlib's memory footprint is also independent of the input data and can be reduced, if necessary, at some cost in compression. | | | | | | | | | | | | Compress::Snappy provides an interface to Google's Snappy (de)compressor. Snappy does not aim for maximum compression, or compatibility with any other compression library; instead, it aims for very high speeds and reasonable compression. For instance, compared to the fastest mode of zlib, Snappy is an order of magnitude faster for most inputs, but the resulting compressed files are anywhere from 20% to 100% bigger. | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Archive::Zip library intends to provide a simple, yet complete and Ruby-esque, interface to working with ZIP archives. Basic archive creation and extraction can be handled using only a few methods. More complex operations involving the manipulation of existing archives in place (adding, removing, and modifying entries) are also possible with a little more work. Even adding advanced features such as new compression codecs are supported with a moderate amount of effort. WWW: https://github.com/javanthropus/archive-zip

For the first time all tested linux ports work as expected(!): . acroread8; . google-earth; . skype; . seamonkey. Many thanks for kernel folks who really did the main work (and I wrote only some lines of ports). There is a good chance that those ports may become a default for 8.0-RELEASE.
