DBIx::Class::ResultSource right into your attribute definitions and will
automatically call it when it finds an add_column attribute option. It also
replaces the DBIx::Class-generated accessor methods (these are
Class::Accessor::Grouped-generated accessor methods under the hood) with the
Moose-generated accessor methods so that you can use more of the wonderful
powers of Moose (eg. type constraints, triggers, ...).

MariaDB is a database server that offers drop-in replacement functionality for
MySQL1. MariaDB is built by some of the original authors of MySQL, with
assistance from the broader community of Free and open source software
developers. In addition to the core functionality of MySQL, MariaDB offers a
rich set of feature enhancements including alternate storage engines, server
optimizations, and patches.
MariaDB is primarily driven by developers at Monty Program, a company founded by
Michael "Monty" Widenius, the original author of MySQL, but this is not the
whole story about MariaDB. On the "About MariaDB" page you will find more
information about all participants in the MariaDB community, including storage
engines XtraDB and PBXT.

<ChangeLog>
This release fixes two non critical bugs:
- HMGET used to crash when called against a key that was not holding
an hash. Fixed by Pieter Noordhuis.
- Redis will now not try to save the DB if no save points for RDB are
configured, when used as a non persistent cache. Thanks to Robey
Pointer from Twitter for providing this patch.

<ChangeLog>
- The maxmemory directive was broken in Redis <= 2.0.2, since from time to
time it replayed with an error about memory limit reached even when
it was possible to expire some volatile key to make room for new data.
The new behaviour is the correct one of always allowing write operations
to succeed as long as there are other volatile keys to remove.
- An AOF bug related to blocking POP could crash Redis on AOF reload.
This is now fixed thanks to Pieter Noordhuis and a kind user that
helped us on IRC.

many database servers. The resolution algorithm is extensible and
pluggable, because of this you can make custom strategy module easily.
This module can retrieve DBI's database handle object or connection
information (data source, user, credential...) by labeled name and
treat same cluster consists many nodes as one labeled name, choose
fetching strategy.

connection and transaction management. Connecting to a database can
be expensive; you don't want your application to re-connect every time
you need to run a query. The efficient thing to do is to hang on to a
database handle to maintain a connection to the database in order to
minimize that overhead. DBIx::Connector lets you do that without
having to worry about dropped or corrupted connections.

This port still does not build if ports/security/krb5 port is installed
but I commit it to provide PostgreSQL 9.0 support for users that
do not have Kerberos port installed as I do not have spare time right now

which can be used to create XML output directly from MySQL
using a single SQL query. This prevents having to convert a
MySQL result to XML in a PHP script, Ruby script, etc.
The library provides the same functionality as SQL/XML, seen
in MS SQL server and Oracle. However it uses normal functions.
By using subqueries the same results as SQL/XML can be generated.

<ChangeLog>
- Fixed a bug that may slow down significantly (from a few milliseconds
to many seconds) server side intersections when a background write is
in progress. This was due to the hash table resize policy, prevented when
there was a saving child. Now it's prevented only up to 5 times
overbooking, so we try hard to prevent a lot of copy on write, but
avoiding to trigger pathological hash table performances of O(N) instead
of O(1).
- Fixed expired keys counter in INFO output. It was not counting keys
force-expired due to max-memory limit reached.

announces the availability of our most eagerly awaited release.
PostgreSQL 9.0 includes built-in, binary replication, and over a dozen
other major features which will appeal to everyone from web developers
to database hackers.
9.0 includes more major features than any release before it, including:
* Hot standby
* Streaming replication
* In-place upgrades
* 64-bit Windows builds
* Easy mass permissions management
* Anonymous blocks and named parameter calls for stored procedures
* New windowing functions and ordered aggregates
... and many more. For details on the over 200 additions and
improvements in this version, developed by over a hundred contributors,
please see the release notes.
"These kinds of feature additions continue to make a strong case for why
mission-critical technology tasks can continue to depend on the power,
flexibility and robustness of PostgreSQL,â said Afilias CTO Ram Mohan.

SQL queries in the regular C++ code, staying entirely within the Standard C++.
The idea is to provide C++ programmers a way to access SQL databases in the most
natural and intuitive way. If you find existing libraries too difficult for your
needs or just distracting, SOCI can be a good alternative.

<ChangeLog>
- Fixed a not critical but important VM bug: from time to time a race
condition may happen and a client may never get the reply from a given
request.
- Now we have a make install target as stated in the README.
- redis-cli no longer tries to understand if it's part of a pipe
so there is to use the -x option to read the last arg from stdin.
This prevents it from creating problem when running inside cron scripts.
- Fixed the init script provided in the tar.gz. It was totally broken.
- Fixed a bug related to connecting more than 10k clients to Redis.

* in PostgreSQL 8.3.1 Release note
Make encode(bytea, 'escape') convert all high-bit-set byte values into \nnn octal escape sequences (Tom)
This is necessary to avoid encoding problems when the database encoding is multi-byte. This change could pose compatibility issues for applications that are expecting specific results from encode.
but pyPgSQL escape bytea encode as it's own implementments. PostgreSQL says that it may make failure(see PQescapeBytea documentation).
in PQescapeBytea function documentation:
"The only difference from PQescapeByteaConn is that PQescapeBytea does not take a PGconn parameter. Because of this, it cannot adjust its behavior depending on the connection properties (in particular, whether standard-conforming strings are enabled) and therefore it might give the wrong results. Also, it has no way to return an error message on failure."
Patch is included upstream already
