* Add port devel/stfl:sat2007-03-294-0/+54
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | STFL is a library which implements a curses-based widget set for text terminals. The STFL API can be used from C, SPL, Python, Perl and Ruby. Since the API is only 14 simple function calls big and there are already generic SWIG bindings it is very easy to port STFL to additional scripting languages. A special language (the Structured Terminal Forms Language) is used to describe STFL GUIs. The language is designed to be easy and fast to write so an application programmer does not need to spend ages fiddling around with the GUI and can concentrate on the more interesting programming tasks. * <quoted from pkg-descr>leeym2007-03-245-0/+71
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a port of Solaris libumem to non-Solaris systems. The port was made while integrating libumem with our Ecelerity MTA product, so your initial experience will not be 100% out-of-the-box, because there is no standalone configure script for the library at this time. (patches welcome!) In addition, since our deployment is threaded, we force the library into threaded mode. While the library is itself stable (it's the memory allocator used by the Solaris OS), the port may have a few rough edges. We're shipping umem with Linux and Windows versions of our product as we have found it to be stable. We will continue to update this project as and when we make improvements, and welcome third-party patches that improve the usability for everyone. Wez Furlong, OmniTI, Inc. </quoted from pkg-descr> This port is not yet fully tested, however, "br" <bf2006a at yahoo.com> is helping me to evaluate it. And also, he encourages me to commit my code so that more people would know about it. Reference: http://www.freebsd.org/projects/ideas/#p-libumem

This incorrectly causes normal read() and write() operations to be retried if aborted by a signal. Instead of making __libc_read() and __libc_write() retry if aborted by a signal, add new functions __libc_safe_read() and __libc_safe_write() that retries operation after a signal. Change reads from manager pipe and writes to manager pipe to use __libc_safe_read() and __libc_safe_write().

Correct emulation of native threads pthread_mutexattr_settype() when selecting recursive mutexes. Previously, the argument conversion before calling the linuxthreads version of pthread_mutexattr_setattr() ended up selecting errorcheck mutexes instead of recursive mutexes.

See http://www.gnome.org/start/2.18/ for all the goodies in this release. GNOME 2.18 for FreeBSD would not have been possible without the hard work of the FreeBSD GNOME Team and our intrepid band of testers including J. W.
