| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A year or so ago I emailed these patches to the maintainer and didn't get any feedback. Just rediscovered them so figured I should submit them before they get lost... patch-bioscursor Fixes the BIOS cursor handling so that programs such as the DOS edit.com and qbasic.exe work correctly patch-desqview-timeslice Allows INT15 timeslicing so that programs which support it can avoid 100% CPU utilization patch-quitemode Adds a -Q option which suppresses all video IO. Also helps optimize the input behavior especially when polling for input. patch-fossil-support Adds a -F option which enables support for FOSSIL IO using stdio. * [NEW PORT] emulators/dynagen-devel: Text-based front end for Dynamips ↵edwin2007-09-238-0/+181
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | development version Dynagen is a front-end for use with the Dynamips Cisco router emulator. It uses an INI-like configuration file to provision Dynamips emulator networks. It takes care of specifying the right port adapters, generating and matching up those pesky NIO descriptors, specifying bridges, frame-relay, ATM switches, etc. It also provides a management CLI for listing devices, suspending and reloading instances, etc. WWW: http://dyna-gen.sourceforge.net/ PR: ports/116343 Submitted by: Pavel I Volkov <pol@opk.ru>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This project aims to develop a fast emulator for the TI89(titanium), 92(+), and V200PLT calculators. This emulator started on the Jonas Minnberg's (X)Tiger emulator which is based on UAE (the Universal Amiga Emulator). It was deeply reworked and improved thus it's very different now. TiEmu uses the GDK library (GTK component) for display. The GUI has been written with GTK+ (the Gimp ToolKit). * Switch to libthr as the default threading library on versions of FreeBSDgerald2007-08-072-2/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | where it isn't the default yet. Wine wants all threads to be PTHREAD_SCOPE_SYSTEM (visible by kernel) so wineserver can access threads inside wine processes. With libthr all threads are PTHREAD_SCOPE_SYSTEM by default. With libkse the initial thread is not which prevents wineserver from sending signals to it directly, for instance. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 1. Add a check if linuxulator is (kld)loaded. IGNORE otherwise. Before this commit the port compared compat.linux.osrelease with 2.4.2 and was IGNOREd if those values are equal. In case linuxulator is *not* loaded, the port proceeded to install, to load linuxulator and to use... compat.linux.osrelease=2.4.2! The port as is doesn't proceed (without linuxulator loaded or if compat.linux.osrelease is equal to 2.4.2) even for "make fetch". Imho that's OK, because it won't let automated tasks to load unneccessary distros, while a human administrator should know what to do by hand. ;-) BTW, I'm not sure but may be it'a be a good idea to use IGNORE if (FreeBSD) OSVERSION < (say) 700037... 2. Apply the same tests for packages. 3. Bump PORTREVISION. Enjoy. ;-)

Thanks to Stefan Weil to insist he's right on that. :-) - Sparc32/64 CPU selection - Fix segfault with -nographic, by Enache Adrian. - New model for PowerPC CPU hardware interrupt events: move all PowerPC specific code into target-ppc/helper.c to avoid polluting the common code in cpu-exec.c. This makes implementation of new features (ie embedded PowerPC timers, critical interrupts, ...) easier. This also avoid hardcoding the IRQ callback in the OpenPIC controller, making it more easily reusable and allowing cascading. - Fix / update PowerPC BookE definitions. - PPC: Fix rfi instruction: do not depend on current execution mode but on the execution mode that will be effective after the return. Add rfci, rfdi and rfmci for BookE PowerPC. Extend mfdcr / mtdcr and implement mfdrcx / mtdcrx. - Sanitize mips exception handling. - Better fix for OpenPIC: should not depend on PowerPC. - As embedded PowerPC TLB model is very different from PowerPC 6xx ones, define ppc_tlb_t as an union of the two. - Merge PowerPC 405 MMU model. - Embedded PowerPC timers support. - Support for PowerPC BookE exception model. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | port may be used only with 7-CURRENT and compat.linux.osrelease=2.6.16. To use/test the port (along with linux FC4 infrastructure ports) you should do: 0. Backup all your vital information! 1. Remove the current linux base port. 2. Add to your /etc/make.conf "OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT=fc6". 3. Make sure no linux application is running. 4. Set apropriate sysctl (compat.linux.osrelease=2.6.16). 5. Install emulation/linux_base-fc6. 5a. Those who use linux ports with automatic plist building should apply the following patch: ftp://mail.ipt.ru/pub/FreeBSD/patches/bsd.linux-rpm.mk-autoplist.diff That should be enough at most circumstances. If you have difficulties, please be sure to expand item 1 to: 1a. Remove all ports which depends on linux base port. 1b. Remove linux base port. 1c. Clean /compat/linux/ directory. In case you want to get rid of the port, deinstall it, then return back compat.linux.osrelease to 2.4.2 (as usual make sure that no linux application is running) and remove from /etc/make.conf the line containing the OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT variable. All questions, reports, suggestions etc. please route to freebsd-emulation@. Fedora Core 6 ports (FC6 infrastructure ports) are coming soon... ;-) This port would not appear without netchild's help. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | of one of the first XMAME GUI frontends available on this planet called QMamecat (derived from MAMECAT, which was text-only). QMamecat was based upon Qt 2; its development was frozen in 2003. QMC2 has been rebuilt from scratch as a Qt 4 project. Parts of the design and code were inspired by its predecessor, but it's not just a remake. We tried to make the new design as flexible as possible to minimize dependencies from frontend- and CLI-related MAME changes, which was a major deficiency of QMamecat. QMC2 now uses a template based MAME configuration scheme, which can easily be enhanced with additional command line options (defined in an XML template file). As a result of this flexible design, we are able to support multiple MAME targets - currently XMAME and SDLMAME! WWW: http://www.mameworld.net/mamecat/

This allows to browse in a list generated with some categories (and it has other advantages). - Finds games quickly. Using a specific dialog that looks for a game in all the gamelist. - The generation of the dynamic list filtering the gamelist is very fast. - It has been developed with PyGTK + Glade. - Released under GNU General Public License. The design of loemu allows the support of more emulators adding specific emulator configuration files. WWW: http://loemu.pegueroles.com/
