[Has anyone figured-out what makes the number 393 so interesting to PW, now?]
I wonder what was going through Jordan's head during his infamous
$Id$-smashing commit.
Before I forget....
Thanks to naddy@mips.rhein-neckar.de (Christian Weisgerber) for prompting
this commit. See msg-id: 7geokh$tje$1@mips.rhein-neckar.de

bsd.port.mk rev. 1.304 for details on the change.
The fix here is one of the following.
(1) Define USE_BZIP2 instead of BUILD_DEPENDS on bzip2 and redefining
EXTRACT_* commands.
(2) Change ${EXTRACT_CMD} to ${TAR} when the command is obviously
calling the "tar" command (i.e., arguments like "-xzf" are spelled
out).
(3) If ${EXTRACT_CMD} is called directly with ${EXTRACT_BEFORE_ARGS},
add ${EXTRACT_AFTER_ARGS} to the command line as well.
(4) If any of EXTRACT_CMD, EXTRACT_BEFORE_ARGS or EXTRACT_AFTER_ARGS
is set, define the other two too.

This port requireat least s version 1.41 of the Qt library.
There will be an error reported by configure, if only an earlier
version is found, but no automatic port dependency exists (i.e.
the x11-toolkits/qt141 port has to be manually built and installed).
There may still be a problem with a missing -lXext in the kdesupport
port. This will be taken care of during the next few days, if the
problem still exists ...

XWPL is an X based tool to examine one-dimensional real-valued signals using
wavelets and wavelet packets. It has been designed to be as easy to use as
possible for beginners. It is intended more as an educational and exploratory
tool than as a numerical analysis program, even though it uses fast, optimized
wavelet and wavelet packet transforms.

share most files. Repository copy the default to explicitly named
directories to avoid any confusion. Greatly simplify the shared
Makefiles, since we are now in different subdirectories, we don't need
"a4-install" stuff.
While I'm here, consistently name the variables. Here are the
guidelines (master port is in brackets)
DOCFORMAT: [html] pdf ps
KONFONT: 14dot [16dot]
PAPERSIZE: a4 [letter] letterdj
RESOLUTION: 118 240 [300] 360 400 600
"math/r" has been copied to "R-a4" and "R-letter", to follow the
spirit of the original port. "japanese/kon" is renamed to "kon2-*",
since that seems to be the basename.

prevented it from running. The only fix (until FreeBSD goes elf)
is to build the executeable statically. I really dislike that, but
it's a linker problem that's not likely to be fixed.
Much thanks to Victor Balden <victor@eng.uct.ac.za> for pointing

installs the version of the port that uses shared library number 9 and the
LIBRARY_VERSION set to the default. Normally this is against our policy

problems caused with the upgrade, Satoshi and I decided that this was best.

xmgr-4.1.1 port. The maintainer changed with Andreas' consent.
I'll remove print/xmgr in a couple of days when I'm sure there's
no other breakage. <:)

Xinside Motif users need an additional library -lXintl.
So I used the $(MOTIFLIB) variable in the Imakefile file which can
easily be defined correctly there. Updated the patch to reflect this.
A pre-extract target informs Xinside users to do so ...

New port gwstat needs xmgr called under a different name -> grbatch.
Added a symlink for that purpose.
