* net-p2p/btqueue: mark broken and deprecatedrm2015-07-021-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | This port is runtime broken. btqueue scheduler starts successfully, and it allows to add some torrents into the queue, but it just doesn't download anything. While the same torrents were successfully fetched with deluge. Tools like btshowmetainfo and btmakemetafile are working, but we have analogs in the ports tree. The port is unmaintained and latest release is from 2006, so mark it broken and deprecated, set expiration date to 2015-08-01.

* converters/libiconv:tijl2015-04-153-7/+45
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Remove const qualifier from iconv(3) to match POSIX: http://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9699919799/functions/iconv.html - Patch iconv.h to expose more GNU extensions when LIBICONV_PLUG is defined because the base system iconv supports these extensions too. Add/remove patches to/from ports to call iconv with non-const arguments. This breaks some ports on FreeBSD 10 because base system iconv.h still has the const qualifier. Fix this by letting USES=iconv add a build dependency on converters/libiconv so ports can use its iconv.h (with LIBICONV_PLUG defined) instead of the base system iconv.h. This exposed some ports that link with libiconv when it is available instead of using libc iconv. In these cases one of the following changes has been made: - patch configure scripts to test for libc iconv first - add ac_cv_lib_iconv_libiconv=no or similar to CONFIGURE_ARGS to disable some configure tests - converters/wkhtmltopdf: this includes Qt4 so add a patch from devel/qt4 - lang/gcc5-aux: respect CFLAGS and friends during configure such that LIBICONV_PLUG is defined in the iconv test, also switch to external gettext - mail/gnarwl: replace patches with CPPFLAGS/LIBS - multimedia/ffmpeg2theora: remove iconv test from SConstruct and use ICONV_LIB in port Makefile instead, also fix a bug in subtitles.c - net-im/licq: finish conversion to cmake - net-mgmt/bandwidthd, net-mgmt/icinga, net-mgmt/nagios, net-mgmt/nagios4: don't need iconv - textproc/p5-XML-TinyXML: finish conversion to USES=perl5 Other changes: - databases/qdbm and slaves: respect CFLAGS and friends, also enable bzip2 and lzo support - games/ldmud: respect CFLAGS and friends - graphics/inventor: replace some patches with MAKE_ARGS/MAKE_ENV to respect CFLAGS and friends, also remove FreeBSD/alpha patch and add missing xorg dependencies PR: 199099 Exp-run by: antoine Approved by: portmgr (antoine)

Bump PORTREVISION on their dependent ports except the ones that depend on these: audio/libogg audio/libvorbis devel/pcre ftp/curl graphics/jpeg graphics/libart_lgpl graphics/tiff textproc/expat2 textproc/libxslt In these cases the same trick as in the recent gettext update is used. The ports install a symlink with the old library version. When enough of their dependent ports have had regular updates the remaining ones can get a PORTREVISION bump and the links can be removed. Also remove the devel/pcre dependency from USE_GNOME=glib20. It causes over 2200 packages to depend on devel/pcre while less than 200 actually link with it. The glib20 package still depends on devel/pcre so this should not make a difference for ports with USE_GNOME=glib20. Also, libdata/pkgconfig/glib-2.0.pc lists pcre as a private library so USE_GNOME=glib20 should not propagate it. PR: 195724 Exp-run by: antoine Approved by: portmgr (antoine)

* Split devel/gettext in devel/gettext-runtime and devel/gettext-tools. Thetijl2014-11-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | first contains runtime libraries such as libintl and the latter contains developer tools such as msgfmt. Ports that use gettext will usually need a LIB_DEPENDS on gettext-runtime and a BUILD_DEPENDS on gettext-tools. USES=gettext-runtime can be used to set a LIB/BUILD/RUN_DEPENDS on devel/gettext-runtime and USES=gettext-tools can be used to set a BUILD/RUN_DEPENDS on devel/gettext-tools. USES=gettext is now the same as "USES=gettext-runtime gettext-tools" meaning a LIB_DEPENDS on devel/gettext-runtime and a BUILD_DEPENDS on devel/gettext-tools. Update gettext to 0.19.3. Remove :oldver from converters/libiconv and devel/gettext-runtime. Leave symlinks with the old library versions to avoid the need to bump PORTREVISION on a large number of dependent ports. When most of the dependent ports have had normal version updates, PORTREVISION can be bumped on the remaining ones (low number) and the links can be removed. Fix some ports that installed files in lib/locale instead of share/locale. PR: 194038 Reviewed by: bapt Exp-run: antoine Approved by: portmgr (antoine)

* Change the way Perl modules are installed, update the default Perl to 5.18.mat2014-11-2611-21/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Before, we had: site_perl : lib/perl5/site_perl/5.18 site_perl/perl_arch : lib/perl5/site_perl/5.18/mach perl_man3 : lib/perl5/5.18/man/man3 Now we have: site_perl : lib/perl5/site_perl site_arch : lib/perl5/site_perl/mach/5.18 perl_man3 : lib/perl5/site_perl/man/man3 Modules without any .so will be installed at the same place regardless of the Perl version, minimizing the upgrade when the major Perl version is changed. It uses a version dependent directory for modules with compiled bits. As PERL_ARCH is no longer needed in plists, it has been removed from PLIST_SUB. The USE_PERL5=fixpacklist keyword is removed, the .packlist file is now always removed, as is perllocal.pod. The old site_perl and site_perl/arch directories have been kept in the default Perl @INC for all Perl ports, and will be phased out as these old Perl versions expire. * The FreeBSD GNOME team proudly presents GNOME 3.14 and Cinnamon 2.2.kwm2014-11-191-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Gnome 3.14.1 and Cinnamon 2.2.16 are supported on FreeBSD 9.3-RELEASE and up. This commit removes the old GNOME 2 desktop, bindings and some ports that can't be compiled. A few ports where updated to more recent versions to allow them to compile with this update. Apart from updating ports to newer versions GDM is more integrated with gnome-shell now, and handles several things for the GNOME desktop such as screen locking. If you want to use GNOME 3 via startx, you will have to add your own lock screen/screensaver. For example xscreensaver can be used for sessions started without GDM. Shell Extensions can be installed via https://extensions.gnome.org/ , we have ported a few that can't be installed via this way. The old gnome-utils and gnome-games ports where split up into single ports and where converted to meta-ports. gnome-terminal requires a UTF-8 locale to run, gdm handles this already, but if you use startx you need to do this yourself. Upgrade instructions: Delete the old and conflicting packages: # pkg delete clutter gnome-utils gnome-panel gnome-keyring vala-vapigen \ guile gcalctool gnome-media libgnomekbd # pkg delete gnome-screensaver gnome-applets bug-buddy evolution-exchange \ evolution-webcal gnome-system-tools seahorse-plugins gnome-control-center For package users the following lines will be enough: # pkg upgrade # pkg install gnome3 For ports users should do the following: # portmaster -a # portmaster x11/gnome3 We are currently aware of two issues. The first issue is a bug in the file monitoring code in the glib20 port. This bug causes glib programs to crash when files in a monitored directory are added or removed. Upstream is aware of the problem, but since the problem is quite complex there is no solution yet. This problem isn't restricted to BSD. The second issue is that on certain video cards totem will display a purple/pink overlay on the video. It not clear yet where the issues comes from. Major thanks goes to Gustau Perez for being a driving force behind getting GNOME 3 up to speed again. Also thanks to Antoine Brodin for running the exp-runs. * Support LIBS like LDFLAGS.tijl2014-06-112-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Add LIBS="${LIBS}" to MAKE_ENV and CONFIGURE_ENV. - Add an option helper for LIBS. - Adjust all ports that already use LIBS. Also remove references to PTHREAD_CFLAGS and PTHREAD_LIBS while here. - Some ports did not support having a LIBS environment variable and required additional patches. Somewhat simplified a linker command line looks like: ${CC} ${src_LDFLAGS} ${LDFLAGS} ${src_LIBS} ${LIBS} where src_LDFLAGS and src_LIBS are controlled by upstream and LDFLAGS and LIBS can be controlled by us. If possible -L and -l flags need to be added to LIBS to make sure they appear after any -L and -l flags set by upstream. Many ports currently add -L${LOCALBASE}/lib to LDFLAGS but this may appear too early on the command line causing installed libraries to be linked in instead of freshly built ones. Additional changes: benchmarks/netio: Replace WITH_IPV6 with an IPV6 option. comms/gnokii: Replace some patches with USES=pathfix. Also remove -fPIC. graphics/gimageview: USES=libtool and install desktop file in DESKTOPDIR. graphics/visionworkbench: Remove FreeBSD 7 support. multimedia/libmovtar: New LIB_DEPENDS syntax. multimedia/opencinematools: Use standard do-build. net/siproxd: USES=libtool:keepla (port actually needs .la files for plugins) net-mgmt/nagios: Remove -fPIC. net-mgmt/nagios4: Remove -fPIC. print/cups-base: Only add -lssp_nonshared on i386 and OSVERSION < 1000036. security/p11-kit: Replace PTHREAD_LIBS in CONFIGURE_ENV with ac_cv_func_pthread_mutexattr_init=no in CONFIGURE_ARGS. This skips a test in configure that falsely detects pthread_mutexattr_init in our libc. sysutils/dar: Fix iconv detection. x11/rxvt-unicode: Remove -lstdc++ and patch configure to remove a FreeBSD hack and use $CXX as linker as on other platforms.
