at this time, even though it is not called a "release". Make the
necessary changes to the cvsup-devel port, which uses the cvsup port
as its MASTERDIR.
I intentionally left "PORTREVISION?=0" in cvsup/Makefile, as a reminder
that this setting needs to be overridable by the cvsup-devel port.
At this moment, the cvsup-devel port builds the same thing as the
cvsup port. That situation probably won't last very long, so I am
leaving the cvsup-devel port in place. It is mentioned in a lot
of documentation, so I don't want to remove it just because it is
temporarily the same as the cvsup port.

the s1g bug. Mirror sites definitely will want to run this new
version, as it eliminates the excessive load that results from the
bug. Note, I don't intend to add a patch to the "net/cvsup" port
for this. People who want this feature must use the "cvsup-devel" port.

EUDC is a user-friendly e-lisp client interface to directory servers running
various protocols:
1) LDAP: Lightweight Directory Protocol
2) CCSO: white pages directory system also known as PH/QI (from its standard
client and server names).
3) BBDB: Big Brother's Insiduous Database (BBDB is a local directory database)
EUDC lets you query your corporate directory server for information such as
phone numbers and office locations. It lets you also query public servers
such as Four11 or BigFoot to complete email addresses directly from the
server while composing email messages in VM, Gnus, Rmail,...

so that they match the PORTREVISION value. The PORTREVISION was
mistakenly incremented twice for the same change, because I forgot
it at first, then sobomax incremented it, then I remembered and
incremented it myself.
Except for the version number, there is no functional change in this
commit. Do not bump PORTREVISION for this.

tree currently in src/, in preparation for removing this infrequently-used
set of tools out of the base system.
The port distfile contains a copy of the /home/ncvs/src/gnu/libexec/uucp
FreeBSD CVS repository (with a few extra commits to make the build more
port-friendly), and checks out a copy during the configure phase.
Changes to this port should be made by checking them into this internal
repository and rerolling the distfile.
This port currently uses the same spool directories in /var/spool, and
contains a 'make upgrade' target to copy config files from /etc/uucp
to ${PREFIX}/etc/uucp.
Please test this port for missing/broken functionality. In particular,
there might be more we need to do in the 'make upgrade' target.

the package will work by default.
Additionally, setting arpwatch_interfaces in the rc.conf system will
allow you to specify which interfaces arpwatches will run on. By
default (ie, variable empty or not set), it will run on the first
non-local interface it finds.

RUT (pronouced as 'root') mean 'aRe yoU There'.
It was developed to brute force its way into wvlan (IEEE 802.11b)
access points which use mac authentification.
It offers a wide range of _local_ network discovery features like arp
lookup on all hosts on a network with vendor-string, spoofed DHCP
request, RARP, BOOTP, ICMP-ping and address mask request and some
other features.

The vomit utility converts a Cisco IP phone conversation into a wave file
that can be played with ordinary sound players. The phone conversation can
either be played directly from the network or from a tcpdump output file.
Vomit is also capable of inserting wavefiles into ongoing telephone
conversations. Vomit can be used as a network debugging tool, a speaker
phone, etc ...

I haven't tested whether this works.

*src/world.c: Fixed the ordering of hbox's in
the gnome_dialog vbox

* crescendo.spec: bumped the version number
* src/wrapper.c, src/world.c: Changed "Unknown"

building for bento.
KDE tries to find the utmp file while building in bento's chroot, and
doesn't find it: the talkd build is skipped because KDE does not understand
how to locate users (its /proc method applies to Linux only).
Just teach KDE to take our word for it and avoid the utmp check entirely
(AC_CHECK_UTMP_FILE): the talkd application will then be built by default.

* All patches except sysutils/kdeadmin/files/patch-rpmMessages.c:
- Either obsoleted or merged into KDE.
* All pkg-plists:
- Huge diffs are due to mass conversion from static HTML pages
to XML/XSL versions.
* audio/kdemultimedia2:
- aRts + Noatun, etc. now work and play MP3s et al properly,
using the mpg123 aRtsplugin. Remove mpeglib[,_artsplug]
from compile.
* converters/kdesupport2:
- Obsolete. No longer used in this version of KDE.
* deskutils/kdepim:
- Use autoconf and account for brokenness in the configure
script by replacing invocations of INSTALL under libical
with the proper incantations.
- Per David O'Brien's request, move libimap to libkimap;
this was performed by Rik Hemsley <rikkus@kde.org>.
* devel/kdesdk:
- New module with some helpful tools. One in particular that
seems demanded is ``kbabel'', which, as I've been told, is
a translator's wet dream.
- Workaround dumb problem in kbabel's libgettext (which I could
not figure out how to remove) by replacing its error() with
errc(). KBabel seems to run fine with this patch.
* devel/kdevelop:
- Fix lame check for libkdeui.so.* by replacing it with just
a check for libkdeui.so. It's been/being removed from
kdevelop after 2.2.
* editors/koffice:
- Fix kivio compile errors by substituting in PTHREAD_LIBS
in the correct place. Compensate for kivio's dependency
on pthreads by changing kivio to use LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libc_r.so
in kivio.desktop.
* games/kdegames2:
- Some new games.
* graphics/kdegraphics2:
- Fix link errors in libkscan and kamera where they
require gettext (ie: add -lintl).
- Fix compile error in kamera.cpp which is dependent on a
correctly done gphoto2.. of course, this will only help
people who've manually installed gphoto2 themselves.
* net/kdenetwork2:
- Mimelib was moved here (reason for removal of kdesupport2).
* misc/kdeaddons:
- New module to FreeBSD ports; some simple addons for KDE2.
Suggested by Lauri Watts <lauri@kde.org>.
* misc/kdeutils2:
- Added a couple manpages.
* x11-clocks/kdetoys2:
- Some new apps.
* sysutils/kdeadmin:
- Remove kuser from compile because it has some problems. ;\
* x11/kdelibs2:
- Add libFAM dependency to help people who run FAM; FAM
increases the overall desktop responsiveness.
Submitted by Lauri Watts <lauri@kde.org>.
- Add CUPS dependency to bring in KDE's new print system.
- Add bzip2/libxml2 dependencies to support the new help kioslave.
- Disable installation of libltdl stuff to prevent conflicts
with other stuff. Submitted by wjv.
- Add pkg-req script to avoid conflicts with kdelibs11; add
to Makefile too. Submitted by benno.
- Be sure to remove the pth header conflicts stuff from the
arts/mcop_mt section.
- Fix problem with configure trying to find -lfam in the
wrong place.
- Remove kspell and api subdirs from doc; we don't need them,
and there are problems trying to build/install them.
Submitted by Lauri Watts <lauri@kde.org>.
* x11/kdebase2:
- Solve link permissions problem by changing the modes on
files installed by kdesktop/init/Templates to 644.
Submitted by Jim Durham <durham@w2xo.pgh.pa.us>.
* x11/kde2:
- Bump version; no other changes.
Special thanks to Lauri Watts <lauri@kde.org> for helping me test
packages generated by these changes on a virgin system. I believe
that this is the best-tested update I've ever done for KDE, and it
really shines this time around.
I just noticed there are a couple other PRs in the PR db that need
to be addressed. I will take care of those by tomorrow. Sorry...
