* Source Sans Pro: Adobe’s first open source type familybapt2012-08-206-0/+92
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Source Sans Pro was designed by Paul D. Hunt as Adobe's first open source typeface family, conceived primarily as a typeface for user interfaces. Source Sans Pro draws inspiration from the clarity and legibility of twentieth-century American gothic typeface designs. Source Sans Pro currently supports a wide range of languages using Latin script, and includes all the characters in the Adobe Latin 4 glyph set. As an open source project, it is expected that incremental updates will be made over time to extend glyph set coverage and functionality. The 7.x branch is the only supported FreeBSD version not yet at his EoL which needs a linux 2.4 based linuxulator environment (linux_base-f10 doesn't work there). I didn't bump the portrevision, this is mostly done as a hint for ports committers to tell them that at least the emulation@-owned ports need to stay until then (even the forbidden ones). The dependent ports need to go at the same time, but are free to be deleted before. Discussed with: bsam

* The proggy programmer's fonts (Proggy Clean, Proggy Square, Proggy Small,tabthorpe2010-10-265-0/+89
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | and Proggy Tiny) are a set of fixed-width screen fonts that are designed for code listings. Each font only comes in one size that it looks good at. The fonts were optimized while coding in C or C++. For this reason, characters like the '*' were placed vertically centered, as '*' usually means dereference or multiply, but never 'to the power of' like in Fortran. The {}s are centered horizontally (as the author's coding style aligns braces vertically), the zero looks different from the capital oh, and there is never any confusion between ells, ones, and eyes. Additionally, the arithmetic operators (+ - * < >) are all axis aligned. * Presenting GNOME 2.28.1 for FreeBSD. The official release notes for thismarcus2009-11-2910-25/+136
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | release can be found at http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.28/ . Officially, this is mostly a polishing release in preparation for GNOME 3.0 due in about a year. On the FreeBSD front, though, a lot went into this release. Major thanks goes to kwm and avl who did a lot of the porting work for this release. In particular, kwm brought in Evolution MAPI support for better Microsoft Exchange integration. Avl made sure that the new gobject introspection repository ports were nicely compartmentalized so that large dependencies aren't brought in wholesale. But, every GNOME team member (ahze, avl, bland, kwm, mezz, and myself) contributed to this release. Other major improvements include an updated HAL with better volume probing code, ufsid integration, and support for volume names containing spaces (big thanks to J.R. Oldroyd); a new WebKit; updated AbiWord; an updated Gimp; and a preview of the new GNOME Shell project (thanks to Pawel Worach). The FreeBSD GNOME Team would like to that the following additional contributors to this release whose patches and testing really helped make it a success: Andrius Morkunas Dominique Goncalves Eric L. Chen J.R. Oldroyd Joseph S. Atkinson Li Pawel Worach Romain Tartière Thomas Vogt Yasuda Keisuke Rui Paulo Martin Wilke (and an extra shout out to miwi and pav for pointyhat runs) We would like to send this release out to Alexander Loginov (avl) in hopes that he feels better soon. For the first time all tested linux ports work as expected(!): . acroread8; . google-earth; . skype; . seamonkey. Many thanks for kernel folks who really did the main work (and I wrote only some lines of ports). There is a good chance that those ports may become a default for 8.0-RELEASE. Please, test and report back to emulation@ ML.

More than 130 ports are switched to follow a new linux infrastructure introduced by changes to bsd.port.mk, bsd.linux-rpm.mk and a new bsd.linux-apps.mk.
