* x11/libXTrap: mark deprecated and set expirationzeising2019-08-061-0/+3
| | | | | | | | Deprecate x11/libXTrap and set expiration date. x11/libXTrap implements the XTrap extension proposed for X11R5, but then removed in X11R6, which was released in 1994. Sponsored by: B3 Init
* Change x11/xorgproto to become a build depzeising2018-09-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change x11/xorgproto to become a build time dependency when added to USE_XORG. Change the dependency to be on the port, rather than a file the port installs. Fix fallout. Bump portrevision on depending ports. * Switch to xorgproto instead of individual packageszeising2018-08-011-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Upstream used to distribute protocol headers as separate packages, but has decided to merge those to a common package, named xorgproto. This update tracks that change. * Add a new port, x11/xorgproto, with are protocol headers for xorg. * Hook the new protocol port to the build and to infrastructure in bsd.xorg.mk. * Update all ports with a dependency on any of the old *proto packages to instead depend on xorgproto. Bump portrevision. * Delete the old *proto packages, update MOVED. PR: 230023 Submitted by: zeising Approved by: portmgr (antoine) exp-run by: antoine

* When linking a library libA with a library libB using libtool, if libB.latijl2014-04-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | exists, libtool will add all libraries libB.la refers to (dependency_libs field) to the linker command line and store them in the dependency_libs field of libA.la. So everything that subsequently links with libA will also link to these extra libraries. This causes too much overlinking. This commit modifies Mk/Uses/libtool.mk so it empties the dependency_libs field in .la libraries during staging. However, because .la libraries have very limited use when dependency_libs is empty it makes sense to completely remove them during staging. So with this commit USES=libtool is modified to remove .la libraries and a new form (USES=libtool:keepla) is introduced in case they need to be kept (dependency_libs is still emptied). PORTREVISION is bumped on all ports with USES=libtool that install .la libraries. Most ports are also changed to add :keepla because .la libraries have to be kept around as long as there are dependent ports with .la libraries that refer to them in their dependency_libs field. In most cases :keepla can be removed again as soon as all dependent ports that install .la libraries have some form of USES=libtool added to their Makefile. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | a zeising, kwm production, with help from dumbbell, bdrewery: NEW XORG ON FREEBSD 9-STABLE AND 10-STABLE This update switches over to use the new xorg stack by default on FreeBSD 9 and 10 stable, on osversions where vt(9) is available. It is still possible to use the old stack by specifying WITHOUT_NEW_XORG in /etc/make.conf . FreeBSD 8-STABLE and released versions of FreeBSD still use the old version. A package repository with binary packages for new xorg will be available soon. This patch also contains updates of libxcb and related ports, pixman, as well as some drivers and utilities. Bump portrevisions for xf86-* ports, as well as virtualbox-ose-additions due to xserver version change. Apart from these updates, the way shared libraries are handled has been changed for all xorg ports, as well as libxml2 and freetype, which means ltverhack is gone and as a consequence shared libraries have been bumped. The plan is that this change will make library bumps less likely in the future. All affected ports have had their portrevisions bumped as a consequence of this. Fix some issues where WITH_NEW_XORG weren't detected properly on CURRENT. * Update CONFIGURE_ARGS for how we pass CONFIGURE_TARGET to configure script.rafan2008-08-211-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Specifically, newer autoconf (> 2.13) has different semantic of the configure target. In short, one should use --build=CONFIGURE_TARGET instead of CONFIGURE_TARGET directly. Otherwise, you will get a warning and the old semantic may be removed in later autoconf releases. To workaround this issue, many ports hack the CONFIGURE_TARGET variable so that it contains the ``--build='' prefix. To solve this issue, under the fact that some ports still have configure script generated by the old autoconf, we use runtime detection in the do-configure target so that the proper argument can be used. Changes to Mk/*: - Add runtime detection magic in bsd.port.mk - Remove CONFIGURE_TARGET hack in various bsd.*.mk - USE_GNOME=gnometarget is now an no-op Changes to individual ports, other than removing the CONFIGURE_TARGET hack: = pkg-plist changed (due to the ugly CONFIGURE_TARGET prefix in * executables) - comms/gnuradio - science/abinit - science/elmer-fem - science/elmer-matc - science/elmer-meshgen2d - science/elmerfront - science/elmerpost = use x86_64 as ARCH - devel/g-wrap = other changes - print/magicfilter GNU_CONFIGURE -> HAS_CONFIGURE since it's not generated by autoconf Total # of ports modified: 1,027 Total # of ports affected: ~7,000 (set GNU_CONFIGURE to yes) PR: 126524 (obsoletes 52917) Submitted by: rafan Tested on: two pointyhat 7-amd64 exp runs (by pav) Approved by: portmgr (pav)
