To use these Emacs Lisp, startup code is needed.
Consider to use ${PREFIX}/lib/dserver/setup-diclookup.sh
(Also note deinstallation is deinstall-diclookup.sh)

Also (or to begin with), Network Dictionary Transfer Protocol 
server is mandatory.  You can use either:
dserver:	ports/japanese/dserver, ja-dserver-2.2.2
ndtpd:		Will be soon come to ports collection.
