The Ximian Evolution Summary can show you what you need to know quickly. It will show you your tasks for that day, how many emails are waiting for you, and much more. To begin using your Summary, click on the Shortcut Bar or Summary at the top of the Folder Bar. By default, you will see: Weather Summaries News feeds from websites Your mail summary showing you how many new emails are waiting Appointments Tasks Evolution's modules can be customized to suit your needs. For example, if you wanted the Summary to show CNN's news feed, you could add their feed. To add a city to be displayed in the weather: Click Summary in the Shortcut Bar. Click Tools Summary Settings . Click the Weather tab. Select the city on the left hand column. Click the Add button. Evolution supports both Imperial and Metric forms of measurement. If you're used to using fahrenheit, use imperial. If you use celius, then select metric from the Weather settings section of the Weather tab. To customize your news feeds: Click Summary in the Shortcut Bar. Click Tools Summary Settings . Click the News Feeds tab. Select your desired news feed on the left column. Click the Add button. Click OK. To customize your mail summary: Click Summary in the Shortcut Bar. Click Tools Summary Settings . Click the Mail tab. Select the mail folder you want to see in the preview on the left. Click Add.
