Respect CC and CFLAGS.
Use LOCALBASE for compile-time and PREFIX for install-time
instead of hard-coded '/usr/local'.

lost the small part. The small part was GCONF_SCHEMAS in bsd.gnome.mk that is
taking care of gconf key and schemas files for pkg-plist. Pav has committed by
re-add GCONF_SCHEMAS back in bsd.gnome.mk this afternoon. Therefore, must bump
PORTREVISION to correct our pkg-plist database installed.

This release notes detailing all of the new goodies in GNOME 2.8 can
be found at http://www.gnome.org/start/2.8/notes/, and the list of what
was fixed in GNOME 2.8.1 can be found at
http://lists.gnome.org/archives/gnome-announce-list/2004-October/msg00056.html.
This release, as well as all of our others, would not have been possible
without the great efforts of our FreeBSD GNOME Team. The list of
current members can be found at http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/contact.html
(including our newest member, Michael Johnson <ahze@FreeBSD.org>).
Special thanks also goes out to all of the loyal FreeBSD GNOME users that
put up with crashes and hangs to test and debug GNOME on FreeBSD. We would
especially like to thank those users that provided patches for GNOME 2.7 and
2.8:
Franz Klammer <klammer@webonaut.com>
Piotr Smyrak <piotr.smyrak@heron.pl>
Radek Kozlowski <radek@raadradd.com>
Khairil Yusof <kaeru@pd.jaring.my>
Yasuda Keisuke <kysd@po.harenet.ne.jp>
Tom McLaughlin <tmclaugh@sdf.lonestar.org>
Vladimir Grebenschikov <vova@fbsd.ru>
GNOME 2.8 also features a new, FreeBSD-specific splashscreen that
was designed by jimmac for GNOME 2.8, then daemonized by
Franz Klammer <klammer@webonaut.com> and Radek Kozlowski
<radek@raadradd.com>.
As with GNOME 2.6, you cannot just "portupgrade" to GNOME 2.8. There is
a script provided at http://www.marcuscom.com/downloads/gnome_upgrade28.sh
that will aid in the upgrade process. Full documentation on the GNOME 2.8
upgrade is coming following this commit.
From all of us at FreeBSD GNOME, ENJOY!

Explicit -lc after -pthread seems to break libpthread, the game cores
on startup. Avoid this by not explicitly linking -lc.
I'm not sure why this is happening.

- Add an offical url of distfiles in case when sourceforge.net is down or
having the problem with mirror.
- Remove SDL_ttf dependency, they imported SDL_ttf into this tarball. They
said that they fixed memory corruption errors on font rendering in their
imported SDL_ttf. I guess, I will let Wesnoth to use own SDL_ttf for now.

The Caribbean Sea in the late 16th century: The Dutch, French,
English and Spanish crown aim to expand their areas of influence.
You as an auspiscious young captain are trying to make the best of
it, as you may either become a brave merchant soul, a freebooting
hero of your crown or a bloodlusty dreaded pirate leader.
Freebooters will hopefully become a free clone of the Sid Meier
classic Pirates!. It's written in C++ using SDL and licensed under
the GNU General Public License.

Note: there is a sneaking suspicion abounding that this program
will not work with libc_r. If you are forcing libc_r for something
like the NVidia kernel module, update that port and switch over
to libpthread.
Note also: a noticible pause when starting a new game seems to be
normal. This pause is also associated with a gigantic memory spike,
but it'll subside once the game starts.

The developer said, 'There was quite a significant bug in version

game unfinishable. This was a big enough problem to warrant the
release of 1.3.7 with only one fix.'

Cake is pretty advanced Quake III Arena map viewer. It
features BSP support, multiple viewports, sound, models,
record/playback demo support and plenty more. Right now, sound
support is disabled since cake uses FMOD library which is not
available on FreeBSD. I hope to resolve this issue in the
future though.

and make XFREE86_VERSION map to it. XFREE86_VERSION is now deprecated.
- Make xorg the default X_WINDOW_SYSTEM on -current.
- Add several new X_*_PORT variables which point to various pieces of X11 based
on the setting of X_WINDOW_SYSTEM, and make ports use them.
- Add information to CHANGES about how to handle the transition.

but without the overkill of GNOME environment. Also the use of the SDL
libraries makes smooth animation and the playing of sound very easy.
Childsplay uses a plugin system for the games, so you might want to check the
childsplay-plugins page. (There are two built-in games; Memory and a typing
game)

Only functional change is the removal of an invocation of QMessageBox.
Apart from that, some autogenerated files were regenerated.

the libtoolX ports instead of the one included with each port. Ports that
set USE_LIBTOOL_VER=X will now use the ports version of libtool instead of
the included version. To restore previous behavior, use the new macro,
USE_INC_LIBTOOL_VER. Both macros accept the same argument: a libtool version.
For example, to use the ports version of libtool-1.5, add the following to
your Makefile:
USE_LIBTOOL_VER= 15
To use the included version of libtool with extra hacks provided by
libtool-1.5, add the following to your Makefile:
USE_INC_LIBTOOL_VER= 15
With this change, ports that had to add additional libtool hacks to prevent
.la files from being installed or to fix certain threading issues can now
delete those hacks (after appropriate testing, of course).
