* New port: databases/cassandra2pi2014-08-2910-0/+433
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Cassandra is a highly scalable, eventually consistent, distributed, structured key-value store. Cassandra brings together the distributed systems technologies from Dynamo and the data model from Google's BigTable. Like Dynamo, Cassandra is eventually consistent. Like BigTable, Cassandra provides a ColumnFamily-based data model richer than typical key/value systems. Cassandra was open sourced by Facebook in 2008, where it was designed by one of the authors of Amazon's Dynamo. In a lot of ways you can think of Cassandra as Dynamo 2.0. Cassandra is in production use at Facebook but is still under heavy development. WWW: http://cassandra.apache.org/ The previous version is still available as databases/cassandra. * New port: databases/p5-Net-Async-CassandraCQLpi2014-08-285-0/+56
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This module allows use of the CQL3 interface of a Cassandra database. It fully supports asynchronous operation via IO::Async, allowing both direct queries and prepared statements to be managed concurrently, if required. Alternatively, as the interface is entirely based on Future objects, it can be operated synchronously in a blocking fashion by simply awaiting each individual operation by calling the get method. WWW: http://search.cpan.org/dist/Net-Async-CassandraCQL/ PR: 186057 Submitted by: admins@perceptyx.com
* New port: databases/p5-Protocol-CassandraCQLpi2014-08-285-0/+56
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This module provides the basic constants and other support functions required to communicate with a Cassandra database using CQL3. It is not in itself a CQL client; it simply provides the necessary support functions to allow one to be written. For a complete client, see instead Net::Async::CassandraCQL. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | PR: 192881 Submitted by: Chris Hutchinson I am sure many people wanted to see this port die, but Chris wanted to save it. Unfortunately his PR only contained about 2% of the work needed to properly stage it. I had to overhaul it with the changes to numerous to recount. Some big ticket items: converted to OptionsNG the EMACS and CLIENT_ONLY knobs (the ability to define the exact EMACS version is lost, it just takes the default. There are only 2 EMACS versions anyway). The chown/mode changes where moved from vendor makefile to pkg-plist. I also leveraged @sample keyword for the two conf files.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | rubyforge.org shutdown on May 15, 2014. This commit accounts for that by doing several things: - Deprecate ruby that had only rubyforge.org as MASTER_SITES (and so are now only fetchable via our cache) - Deprecate ports that depend on those - Update the WWW pkg-descr line that points to rubyforge.org for rubygem ports (which are still fetchable from rubygems.org) The next step will be to remove rubyforge.org from bsd.sites.mk, after these deprecated ports are deleted. * databases/freetds: Fix build with libiodbc, reset maintainermarino2014-08-183-4/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The maintainer (cowbert) hasn't been seen since 2009 and several PRs timed out in the span of months. Reset freetds and it's slave port. Moveover, it's ancient. All the MASTER_SITES are gone. I had to switch this over to Fedora repo so that it had public distfiles again. The actual PR fixes the build when libiodbc is selected. There is a freetds-devel port that's much newer. I recommend that it move these location and they disappear. PR: 192224 Submitted by: Denys Razumov Approved by: maintainer timeout (of course)

* databases/pgbouncer: Unconditionally install man pagesmarino2014-08-111-23/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This port had a couple of issues besided installing man pages as a function of the DOCS option selection. It also was using <pre> and <post> inclusions with <options>, _DEPENDS were in multiple places. I regrouped the *_DEPENDS, I moved the options to just above the make targets (their conventional location) and I utilized <option>_*_DEPENDS as well after fixing the man pages. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Please use USES=python instead of USE_PYTHON. USE_PYTHON=yes becomes USES=python USE_PYTHON=2.7+ becomes USES=python:2.7+ USE_PYTHON_BUILD=3.3 becomes USES=python:3.3,build ... A new PYTHON_FEATURES variable was added, which enables certain features for a port and replaces some knobs at the same time; PYTHON_FEATURES=distutils replaces USE_PYDISTUTILS PYTHON_FEATURES=autoplist replaces PYDISTUTILS_AUTOPLIST PYTHON_FEATURES=py3kplist replaces PYTHON_PY3K_PLIST_HACK PYTHON_FEATURES=noegginfo replaces PYDISTUTILS_NOEGGINFO PYTHON_FEATURES=concurrent replaces PYTHON_CONCURRENT_INSTALL PYTHON_FEATURES=pythonprefix replaces USE_PYTHON_PREFIX Some knobs have been deprecated and are to be removed in the near future: PYTHON_MASTER_SITES - use MASTER_SITE_PYTHON instead PYTHON_PKGNAMESUFFIX - use PYTHON_PKGNAMEPREFIX instead PYDISTUTILS_INSTALLNOSINGLE - deprecated without replacement Some knobs have been removed completely: PYTHON_MASTER_SITE_SUBDIR PYTHON_DISTNAME PYTHON_WRKSRC Several variables specific to the Python framework are no longer passed to the build environment to avoid polluting dependency builds. PYTHON_VERSION is not passed to .MAKEFLAGS anymore PYTHON_DEFAULT_VERSION, PYTHON_DEFAULT_PORTVERSION and PYTHONBASE are not passed to the make environment anymore The conversion required a couple of ports to be updated to fit the changes and new requirements. Those included "bsd.python.mk" directly or contained checks in places, for which the USES framework would fail to provide correct values. Python modules directly using the upstream Python package (such as py-tkinter or py-sqlite3) were updated to avoid using the now unnecessary and remmoved knobs from "bsd.python.mk". * Update PyQt to 4.11.1, QScintilla to 2.8.3 and SIP to 4.16.2.rakuco2014-07-243-44/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ... And bump PORTREVISION on ports that depend on devel/qscintilla2 due to the shlib version change. This is brought to you by the KDE on FreeBSD team. Besides updating to newer upstream releases, this commit also contains a lot of under-the-hood changes to the PyQt/QScintilla/SIP ports. Their Makefiles had accumulated a lot of cruft over time, so it was time for some summer cleaning: - General, belated changes: * Use OPTIONS helpers wherever possible, stop including <bsd.port.options.mk> when not necessary, stop checking for ${PORT_OPTIONS:MDOCS} and ${PORT_OPTIONS:MEXAMPLES} when not necessary, add options such as DOCS and/or DEBUG where they were only checked for. - QScintilla ports: * Drop the API option from py-qt4-qscintilla2. It had been broken ever since staging support was added, and its existence does not make much sense: QScintilla is a hard dependency regardless of the state of this option anyway, they all come from the same tarball and the configuration script assumes the .api file will always be installed. - PyQt ports: * The configure.py patch shared by all PyQt ports has been trimmed down to the minimum. Changes for Qt3 compatibility or for things that are just not needed anymore have been removed. * Several post-configure targets in the PyQt ports have been removed, as they had no effect on the way the ports were built whatsoever. * In some cases, instead of calling Python's py_compile.py on `ls *.py */*.py */*/*.py` to generate .pyc and .pyo files, we just call compileall.py, which is made for this kind of task. * The patch + sed hack to build py-qt4-dbussupport has been replaced by only extracting the dbus/ directory for that port and excluding it from all others. * Move the bulk of the code in all Makefiles to bsd.pyqt.mk, like the non-Python Qt ports do with bsd.qt.mk and the QT_DIST variable. A large portion of all PyQt Makefiles were very similar and contained a lot of boilerplate code that can be shared among all of them since they all come from the same tarball. bsd.pyqt.mk now has a PYQT4_DIST variable that, when set, automatically sets several common variables and the do-configure target for a port. This allows us to considerably reduce the size of all the py-qt4-* Makefiles. * To make the above possible and also to allow us to use as many OPTIONS helpers as possible, the ARGS variable is now called CONFIGURE_ARGS. That's what it was used for anyway. PR: 191990

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | when an older version of a package is installed. This is the case when an executable links with installed libraries and with uninstalled libraries that link with other uninstalled libraries. For each of the directly linked libraries the executable will have an rpath (/usr/local/lib for the installed libraries and a path under WRKDIR for each of the uninstalled libraries), but not for the indirect libraries. Both ld(1) and rtld(1) search the rpath of the executable first before any rpath of libraries, so the indirectly linked libraries will be found in /usr/local/lib if they are installed instead of in WRKDIR. With this commit executables will overlink with uninstalled indirect libraries again so their location is added to the rpath of the executable. This partially reverts r358784. * databases/memcached: fix build when xml2rfc is installedswills2014-07-234-10/+157
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The docs for require xml2rfc and aren't built in the case where it's not installed. However when they are installed, they fail due to make issues. This patches the doc Makefile to avoid the gmake specific extensions as well as ensuring that network access is not needed to build the docs. It also ensure that xml2rfc is always there in the case where the DOCS option is enabled so that the docs are always built the same. While here, I decided to include some of the cleanup from the PR including the LICENSE change ane enabling the SASL and DOCS options by default since they don't add much in the way of dependencies. Also switched to static plist. PR: 192009 Reported by: jaap@NLnetLabs.nl

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | RocksDB is an embeddable persistent key-value store for fast storage. RocksDB can also be the foundation for a client-server database but our current focus is on embedded workloads. RocksDB builds on LevelDB to be scalable to run on servers with many CPU cores, to efficiently use fast storage, to support IO-bound, in-memory and write-once workloads, and to be flexible to allow for innovation. | | | | | | | | | | The main problem was that gnatsweb-site.pl was getting installed twice, but there may have been other issues (e.g. missing %B in @exec). In the process, merge mkdir commands into one, and used the .sample scheme although @sample keyword can't be used here. This passes redports now.

* New port: databases/p5-DBIx-Class-BitField:zi2014-07-195-0/+42
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This module is useful if you manage data which has a lot of on/off attributes like active, inactive, deleted, important, etc. If you do not want to add an extra column for each of those attributes you can easily specify them in one integer column. A bit field is a way to store multiple bit values on one integer field. The main benefit from this module is that you can add additional attributes to your result class whithout the need to deploy or change the schema on the data base.
